USET Chairman Meets and Congratulates Newly Appointed UGC Chairman

The Chairman, BoT of the University of Skill Enrichment and Technology (USET) met with and congratulated the newly appointed Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC), Professor Dr. Mamun Ahmed, in a cordial meeting held Thursday, April 09, 2026. During the meeting, Mr. Shakhawat Hossain, Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT), USET, who is also the Honorary Consulate of Portugal in Bangladesh, extended his heartfelt congratulations to Professor Dr. Mamun Ahmed on his new role and expressed confidence in his leadership to further strengthen higher education in the country. As a gesture of goodwill, the USET Chairman greeted with a beautiful bonsai Adenium flower tree. Both chairmen also discussed the development of USET’s permanent campus. It was discussed that the upcoming foundation stone ceremony will take place at Purbachal, beside the Asian Highway, where the permanent campus of USET will be established at a suitable time of the hon’ble UGC Chairman. The discussion also focused on the development of quality education, innovation in skill-based learning, and future collaboration opportunities between USET and UGC to enhance academic excellence. Mr. Mossarraf Hossain, Registrar (In-Charge), USET, was also present at the meeting. USET remains committed to contributing to the advancement of higher education and skill development under the guidance of national education authorities.
